GC2018 Mascot Competition

The Minister for Education and Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games the Honourable Kate Jones MP announced the launch of a four-week competition calling on Australians of all ages to design the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games™ (GC2018) mascot.
 
The search has begun for an original character that will truly capture the spirit of GC2018 and inspire people of all ages to get involved in the Games.
 
Principals, teachers, students and the broader school community are encouraged to participate in the competition and be part of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create history.

The ‘artist’ of the winning entry will receive:
 
·         four tickets to the GC2018 Opening Ceremony on 4 April 2018
·         three nights’ accommodation on the Gold Coast for four people
·         transport to the accommodation (which, if necessary, may include return airfares to/from your nearest airport and return transfer to your place of residence) for four people
·         a chance to provide creative inspiration for the design of the mascot
·         a chance to be part of the promotional story of the mascot creation.
 
The competition will close at 5pm AEST on Monday, 27 July 2015.
