Congratulations Arky - Gold Coast Bulletin's Junior Photographer of the Year!

On November 11th, 2015, I went to Bond University for the Gold Coast Bulletin's 11th Annual Student Reporter Awards - Journalism and Photography.  I was a junior photographer nominee.  Two other people were invited as well as me, my teacher/principal, Mrs Ash and my mother, Gwyn.  My mum has supported me and was the one who showed me how to take photos and unlock my passion for the art.  Now look where's it's gotten me - Junior Photographer of the Year!
I met Jessica Huxley, Annmarie Webber and Cath Webber at the awards.  They are all editors and journalists at the Gold Coast Bulletin.  I learnt just how fascinating journalism and photography can be.  The food was amazing and extremely fancy.  I learnt how many different styles of photography there are - I actually quite enjoyed it. I also learnt how amazing Bond University is.  My principal won an award as well - a certificate of school support.  Winning the Junior Photographer of the Year award was awesome; it's the biggest honour I have ever gotten or been presented!
I believe everyone should participate in the EDiT publication by submitting articles, reviews and photos, just like my school, awesome Springbrook State School did.  I absolutely loved the night.  I think I will try and get nominated next year too!
